College Heights Christian School’s early education program introduces 3 and 4 year old children to their first school setting. Preschool and pre-kindergarten classes at CHCS offer a fun but structured, age appropriate learning environment, where each child’s natural curiosity and love of learning is nurtured.
In addition to developing the cognitive skills that will help them thrive in kindergarten, students will progress physically and socially, developing friendships that may last through their high school graduation at CHCS.
Our early education programs use the A Beka curriculum for most academic courses. In addition to learning the basics like letters and sounds, numbers, writing and Bible, students participate in music class, physical education class and Spanish class. Each classroom has a certified teacher and a teacher’s aide, with a student to adult ratio that typically does not exceed 8:1.
The class for 3’s meets three mornings
each week on Monday, Wednesday
and Friday. Hours are 8:15 to 12:00.
Two classes for 4’s are offered. One meets three
mornings each week, Monday, Wednesday
and Friday, and the other meets
every day, Monday through Friday.
Class hours are from 8:15 to 12:00 noon.
Students must be three years of age by July 31 to apply for the preschool class for 3’s, or four years of age by July 31 to apply for the pre-kindergarten class for 4’s.
