Missions Week 2016
College Heights Christian School has had a busy month of March. From March 14-18, all students participated in our annual Missions week. Elementary age students sent supplies and prayed for our older students who went out into the field. Our Middle School students from 6th, 7th and 8th grade participated in park clean up, visited retirement homes, and cleaned up Maranatha Bible Camp as a group according to their grade levels.
Our High School students were able to choose one of ten groups that served locally, regionally, nationally, or internationally. Groups that were served this year included: Crosslines, God's Resort, Hometown Bound, Lifehouse, Missouri Baptist Children's Home, Ozark (AR), Red Bird (KY), Jamaica, and Mexico.
High School students were able to lead Vacation Bible School, work an afterschool program, do many Christian presentations to groups ranging from pre-school to adults, did puppet shows, built swing sets for children, built drainage ditches, re-roofed a structure, moved a multitude of items, cleaned many buildings, laid flooring, planted gardens and flowers, worked with and entertained the disabled, talked about civil rights for trafficked victims with a Missouri Supreme Court Judge, and more importantly visited and prayed with people. We are thankful for the opportunity to show the students' servant hearts to many.
