We Are A+

In 1993 the Missouri State legislature passed and the Governor signed into law the Outstanding School’s Act, legislation that established the A+ Scholarship Fund. The A+ Scholarship Program provides scholarship funds to eligible graduates of all high schools designated A+ and who will attend a public community college or vocational/technical school, or certain two-year vocational /technical schools. Updated legislation in 2016 expanded the A+ program to non-public high schools. As a result of this expansion, College Heights Christian School applied for and was granted the designation of A+ status. All the benefits of an A+ school are now available to all graduating seniors from CHCS who meet the eligibility criteria.

Graduates who meet the A+ Scholarship Fund requirements will receive the same and all benefits established in the Outstanding School’s Act. The scholarship will reimburse the unpaid balance of your tuition and general fees after all available, non-loan federal financial assistance, such as the federal Pell grant, has been applied to your account. As is true for all public and non-public A+ schools throughout Missouri, the amount reimbursed may be reduced if there are insufficient state appropriations. For potential graduates of current families at CHCS as well as any new families, the A+ Scholarship Fund can help with the cost of attending most two-year post-secondary colleges and technical schools. Qualifying students who graduate from CHCS now have the opportunity for this financial benefit because “We Are A+.”

Questions regarding the A+ program and/or how your student can become eligible for this program may be answered by contacting the school counselor.
